Simple Video Editor supports common basic operations on a single imported video clip, trimming, splitting into sub clips (e.g. extracting ‘shots’), and frame by frame viewing and saving as a photo.

Simple Video Editor imports a single video clip (in common Windows compatible formats) into a series of independent frames stored in the original resolution. Standard video transport controls allow easy navigation to any specific point in a video clip and playback at any speed and in either direction (forward or reverse). Any paused frame can be saved as a photo snapshot.

Simple Video Editor allows sections of the video to be marked for removal from the original clip. The frames that remain can then be joined into a single video clip with the same video frame rate, resolution and quality as the original. A preview mode allows the retained frames to be played back as a single clip before exporting.

Simple Video Editor also includes a logo overlay feature that adds a selected PNG image to the whole saved video clip or for a specified time from the start. The logo can also be added to any saved photo snap. An intro ‘slate’ of a configurable duration can additionally be added to the start of the saved clip.
