Previously, the party continued the Arahagiro storyline. They accompanied Serafi to the Crag of Murud west of Arahagiro. Afterwards, they explored the rest of the Arahagiro Region and then the Defel Wilderness to the north. Now, they will fight the Gate of Trials boss guarding the way to the Jaira Jungle. Then, they will explore the Jaira Jungle and seek a Great Sabrecat for Serafi.

Arahagiro (time 0:29):

The party resumes in the church in the Kingdom of Arahagiro. They prepare their lineup for the upcoming boss battle.

From the Courtyard, the party Zooms to the Defel Wilderness - Jungle destination.

Defel Wilderness (time 4:38):

At A-3/A-4, the party examines the Gate of Trials blocking the exit to Jaira Jungle. This triggers a boss battle against the Jungle Guardians (密林の守人たち): the Jungle Hunter (密林の狩人), red, and the Jungle Guardian (密林の守人), yellow. Each can act twice per round, and they have a variety of spells at their disposal. The Jungle Hunter's spells include Kacrackle, Kafrizzle, and Oomphle. The Jungle Guardian's spells include Kaswooshle, Kazammle, and Kabuff. They both have fairly high agility.

Magic Barrier is useful for diminishing the damage the party takes from the enemies' spells. If the enemies' attack power is reduced and the party's defence is raised, the enemies' physical attacks will be nearly inconsequential. Since the Jungle Hunter, red, can use Oomphle, it is a tempting one to take out first. Serafi's wand attacks are actually fairly useful against them, if she is oomphed and they are sapped. Adequate healing is essential.

At the end of the battle, the party earns a base of ca. 10,000 experience points and 2,400 gold.

After the party gains control, they take the gate at A-3/A-4 to the Jaira Jungle (ジャイラ密林).

Jaira Jungle (time 13:13):

As the party arrives in Jaira Jungle, a brief scene with Serafi takes place.

They gain control at C-7/C-8 in the south. Their next destination is the Big Tree Root in the northeast.

The party goes east and enters a small tunnel at D-7/D-8. They follow it and emerge at E-7 in the south of the main part of the zone. They explore the jungle on their way to the Big Tree Root.

A large pond dominates the center of the jungle.

At G-5 in the east, a red chest contains 2 Ethereal Stones (げんませき).

The party finds another curious pentagonal stone pagoda at C-3.

At B-4, there is a locked door that the party cannot open yet. It provides access to the paths in the ruins, so the party cannot yet access the treasure chests on those paths. They will just have to return when they acquire the key(s) that will open these locks.

On a ledge at F-2/F-3, a black chest contains a Green Orb (グリーンオーブ).

At F-1, the party examines the crystal outside the Big Tree Root. This adds the Jaira Jungle destination to the Zoom Stone.

The party takes the path at F-1 to the Big Tree Root (大樹の根元).

Big Tree Root (time 26:37):

As the party enters the Big Tree Root area, a cutscene takes place. They meet the Great Sabrecat. Serafi seems to have a way with this sabrecat. She names him Chome. He has a certain lack of depth perception. The next objective is to return to Arahagiro.

The party gains control at D-6/E-6 in the Big Tree Root. They Zoom back to the Kingdom of Arahagiro.

Arahagiro (time 31:27):

As the party steps north towards the town, a scene with Serafi and Chome takes place. It sounds like a "Survival Death Match" is set to take place at the arena. Oh, dear. The party's next objective is to take the side entrance to the Monster Fighting Arena directly from the Arahagiro Region.

Quila at E-7 has new story info.

The party rests at the inn. Afterwards, they visit the bank and deposit most of their gold.

Arahagiro Region (time 36:30):

At D-2/D-3, the party takes the side entrance to the Monster Fighting Arena.
