Kobo vs. Kindle eReaders: unpopular opinion!

Kobo vs. Kindle...Kindle vs. Kobo...is it worth obsessing about all the minor differences in the various models of these two famous eReader brands?

I have a Kobo because I got it as a gift but maybe I wouldn't have made the same choice if I'd had to choose it myself!
