Mass Effect 1 - Tali’s (sort of) HIDDEN Personal Mission You May Have Missed

In this video, I’m going to show you Tali’s semi-hidden personal mission in Mass Effect 1. Unlike the missions you receive from Garrus and Wrex, there is no journal entry when you receive the mission and it’s not immediately clear how to even complete it or if it’s even a quest at all. We’ll be covering how to obtain this mission and get it done in this video.

In your first couple of conversations with Tali’zorah on the Normandy, you can learn more about her people and the pilgrimage she was on when you met her on The Citadel. She will seem pretty down when you visit her again because she feels out of place on the Normandy.

The next time you speak with her after the SAD GIRL TALI conversation, she will explain that she needs to find something big for her pilgrimage. It turns out you can actually help Tali with her pilgrimage although it’s not immediately clear how to do so. There’s no journal entry or anything like that.

The quest you actually need to complete is called UNC: Geth Incursions. You will receive a message from Admiral Hackett when you enter the Armstrong Nebula.

This quest is a bit of a slog to be honest. You need to clear out Geth outposts on four different planets in the Armstrong Nebula - one in each separate system. Most of them are outdoor stations so you can just roll up with the Mako and blast away. But at least one of them is indoors and requires dealing with husks and geth units on foot.

Once you’ve cleared out four bases you will unlock the location of the final base, which is located on Solcrum in the newly unlocked Grissom system in the Armstrong Nebula. Once you've cleared out all the enemies in the main base, decrypt the Geth terminal in the back of the facility. Your journal will be updated with a new entry called "Tali and the Geth."

When you return to the Normandy, speak to Tali and she will ask for a copy of the data. If you agree to her request you'll get XP and a boost to your paragon score. You'll also get some unique dialogue on Freedom's Progress at the beginning of Mass Effect 2. "
