Blizzard and the World of Warcraft team have recently had issues with Chinese launch partner NetEase for their upcoming mobile version of wow. It has now been officially cancelled. But that's not the craziest part of the whole fiasco. While realizing there was now a massive opportunity for WoW's old market share to be gobbled up in China, and timed with the official mobile WoW release cancelation - Chinese tech giant Tencent has stepped up and announced a brand new MMORPG titled Tarisland.
The game does not only look exactly like a new World of Warcraft would, but it also features lots of adopted features from the gameplay elements as well. I am truly not sure how I feel about this as of just yet for a lot of reasons, but one can't ignore the footage in the video. This game looks pretty dang good so far all other things aside. Until we get more info don't get too excited although a GLOBAL release has already been confirmed a release in the US is still up in the air. This game is already on WoW's radar big time. "
